Role Purpose

  • Review and analyze product data and content to identify areas of non-compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Develop and maintain processes and procedures to ensure that all products and services meet applicable regulatory and legal requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product development, legal, and regulatory affairs, to ensure that compliance requirements are integrated into product development plans
  • Develop and deliver relevant training programs to internal stakeholders on product regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor and track changes in any legal or regulatory requirements and to ensure that all products and services are maintained in a timely manner.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert ensure all product regulatory requirements has been fulfil and provide guidance to internal stakeholders as required.
  • Comply with and ensure all commercial product adherence to all relevant laws, regulations (CAD), applicable standards (including IOSA, ISO), and company requirements regarding safety, security, quality, and services.
  • Oversee all food hygiene and safety matters related to airline catering to ensure compliance with legal requirements, including the Hong Kong Food Safety Ordinance.
  • Provide technical and training support for new product development, ensuring implementation of food hygiene and safety controls based on HACCP/ISO principles.
  • Prepare audit checklists for operational, hygienic, and safety audits of service providers to evaluate performance and operational requirements regularly.
  • Conduct on-site audits at food vendor's production units for quality management.
  • Manage audits, inspections, projects, and compliance matters, and if necessary, contracted service providers, providing guidance on regulatory compliance and standards, supporting continuous improvement to ensure compliance with HKCAD regulations, IOSA, and other applicable standards.
  • Make recommendations for continuous process and outcome improvements based on audit findings.
  • Review, investigate, and respond to feedback from crew and passengers, monitor follow-up actions, and ensure proper implementation of corrective and preventive measures.
  • Maintain a documentation system, including various quality control records.
  • Perform data analysis (e.g., audits, inspections, findings, root causes) to identify trends, risks, and areas for improvement, and escalate issues as necessary.
  • Provide valuable input to safety action groups to achieve operational outcomes in line with safety and security requirements.
  • Conduct market intelligence activities and provide feedback on product and commercial information.
  • Arrange food samples (direct purchase) for microbial testing, analyze lab results, and prepare reports.
  • Follow all reasonable instructions as directed by the team manager.
  • Take up and effectively manage all projects and tasks assigned by the team manager.
  • Ad hoc projects or tasks as assigned by the manager.
 
The Ideal Candidate
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration or related fields.
  • 3-5 years of experience in regulatory affairs, or related field.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to interpret complex regulatory requirements and implement practical solutions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Experience in developing and delivering training programs on regulatory requirements is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Strong team member with the Can-do attitude to go to the extra mile
